Q: What are the garden beds made of?
A: The metal beds are made of a high quality steel substrate, coated in a zinc alloy and USDA Organic food safe paint. The wood beds are made from untreated North American Red Cedar.
Q: Do you fill the garden beds with soil?
A: Yes, we will fill the garden beds with high quality soil. We also provide square-foot spacing string to help guide planting (these can easily be removed). Maintenance and choosing what to plant is up to you - we can offer recommended services.
Q: How long do the garden beds last?
A: Metal beds are built to last 10+ years, and wood beds are built to last 5+ years. Due to Northwest weather, rain, and conditions, those outcomes vary.
Q: How big are the garden bed installations?
A: Two bed installations are a 200-250 square foot area. Four bed installations are a 350-425 square foot area.
Fire Pits
Q: Do the fire pits meet city ordinance?
A: Yes, our fire pits meet all relevant city ordinances.
Q: How big are the fire pit installations.
A: The installation area is around 200 square feet. This is good for 6-8 people comfortably.
Logistics
Q: Do I need to know which product I want before booking a consultation?
A: No. We'll answer questions and help you choose at your appointment.
Q: How long does installation take?
A: Installation is completed in one day, pending inclement weather.
Q: Can I customize my garden or fire pit?
A: Typically, no. Our installations are plug and play - the template you see is what you get. We do offer some select customizations on a case-by-case basis, and pricing is subject to change. We can answer questions on a consultation, via email, or over the phone.
Q: How do I know my yard is a good fit?
A: Almost all yards are a good fit. We will confirm your yard is a good fit in person together when you book a consultation. Call or email with any questions beforehand.
Q: Are you licensed?
A: Yes, we are licensed, bonded, and insured in Washington State.
Q: How long does the consultation take?
A: Consultations typically last 1 hour.
Q: Do I need to be there for the consultation?
A: Yes.
Q: Do I need to be there during the installation?
A: No, but many people prefer to be present for either the beginning, end, or both.
Q: How do I pay?
A: We accept cash, ACH bank transfer, debit card and credit card (potential fee no greater than that charged by payment merchant), and personal or business checks (so long as they are provided 30 days prior to installation). We will provide payment instructions after the in home consultation.
Q: When do I pay?
A: Payment is made after an the in-person appointment consultation. 50% is paid up front at the time of contracting, and the remaining 50% is collected after project completion.
